Henry McGrane studied in Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design. He spent many years abroad gaining experience in animation, drawing and painting. In the mid-90’s while living in Arizona, he studied oil painting under the tuition of renowned artist Joshua Fallik. This inspired him to study portraiture under the famous American painter Diane Leonard. He established a painting studio beside his home in Realtoge, just outside Navan. Inspired by nature, his keen powers of observation allow him to capture rural scenes that are fast disappearing. Creating art work that is intensely personal yet versatile, his oeuvre is not limited to outdoor scenes as demonstrated in his large works of the human figure and more recent still life studies. His wide range of paintings are bought extensively in Ireland, United Kingdom and the United States.
