Beyond Words: Mindful mark-making with Chloe McHugh

A reflective, multi-sensory experience, this workshop invites participants to explore creativity and self-expression using mark-making through sound.

Beginning with a guided tour of the exhibition, Tracing Echoes by Mark Francis, participants are encouraging to consider how sound and music can be visualised. A restorative sound bath follows with Chloe McHugh, engaging you in immersive deep listening techniques. The ethereal sounds of gongs, singing bowls and elemental instruments may evoke physical, emotional and mental responses.

Transitioning into an intuitive drawing practice, explore mark-making to express the experience of sound, beyond words. Guided gently throughout by Chloe, the workshop emphasises exploration over outcome, offering a space for relaxation, contemplation, and embodied creative expression.
