Coláiste Ríoga presents Cinderella of Royal Meath
Cinderella of Royal Meath is a brand-new Irish Christmas pantomime set in the heart of the Royal County, featuring Dunshaughlin, Navan and Trim as the backdrop for a modern retelling of the classic fairy tale.
Packed with comedy, live music, audience participation, contemporary pop songs, and festive magic, the production follows Ella, a kind-hearted young woman trapped under the rule of her outrageous stepmother Lady Griselda and her hilariously over-the-top stepsisters, Britney Brunch and Ariana Grande-Latte.
With the help of Buttons, the show's lovable comic hero, the wise Fairy Niamh, a troupe of mischievous mice, glamorous cats, eccentric handymen Bill and Bobs, and the unforgettable Dandini, Ella finds the courage to believe in herself and attend Prince Cormac's royal ball at Trim Castle.
The production features a live on-stage orchestra led by the smooth and sophisticated Vincent Velvet, spectacular dance numbers, a crowd-pleasing Mice vs Cats dance battle, a magical transformation from rusty jalopy to royal carriage, and a heartwarming Christmas finale.
Combining traditional Irish panto humour with modern references, beloved songs, local Meath flavour, and plenty of festive cheer, Cinderella of Royal Meath is a family-friendly musical celebration of kindness, confidence, friendship, and believing in your own story.
