Making Your ‘Mark’: Creative Workshop Inspired by Mark Francis

A movement and drawing workshop, explore the dynamic artworks filled with rhythm, vibration and energy by Mark Francis in our gallery spaces. Through playful drawing exercises, sound-inspired mark making, and collaborative movement activities, discover how emotions, sound, and the body can be translated into expressive visuals. Working individually, in pairs, and as a whole group, experiment with charcoal, colour, gesture, and rhythm. Creating personal and collective artworks, this workshop encourages curiosity, confidence, and creative expression. Allowing time to tune into the unnoticed rhythms of daily life, it links to elements within the art, music and drama primary curriculum and is facilitated by local multidisciplinary artist Penelope Lacey.
