Solstice Arts Centre and Swift Cultural Centre in Meath are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing & Development Manager (Maternity Cover) to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to take the lead on strategic marketing, audience development, and fundraising initiatives for one of Ireland’s leading arts centres. With over 160,000 visitors to their arts centres per year, the Marketing Manager selected for this maternity leave will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must be willing to learn new procedures and skills.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & PR
- Implement Solstice Arts Centre & Swift Cultural Centre marketing plan
- Responsible for maximising audiences for Solstice Arts Centre & Swift Cultural Centre activities
- Manage media campaigns and liaise with artists, producers, and media outlets to promote events.
- Create and distribute three annual print brochures in collaboration with designers and artists.
- Produce and oversee all social media content, e-zines, press releases, and visual arts invitations.
- Maintain and grow our website, audience databases, and digital presence.
- Coordinate branding across box office, signage, and all promotional materials.
Development & Fundraising
- Maximise business opportunities through sponsorship, fundraising, and PR activities.
- Expand and manage the Solstice membership scheme for individual and corporate giving.
- Foster relationships with local businesses, and the community to expand outreach.
Audience Engagement
- Analyse box office data for audience growth across all demographics.
- Monitor SEO and website performance.
- Organise promotional events, including press and season launches.
- Provide monthly Marketing and Audience reports to the Director
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with box office and programming teams to ensure brand consistency and professional presentation.
- Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to the centre’s overall goals.
- Assist with box office duties as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, or arts development.
- Excellent copywriting, social media, and digital marketing skills.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Experience with audience engagement and fundraising is desirable.
- A passion for the arts and cultural engagement.
- Must be able to create graphics.
- Excellent writing skills.

Content Creator
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Hours: Variable – includes weekday and weekend work, daytime and evenings, dependent on event scheduling

Solstice Arts Centre and Swift Cultural Centre are seeking a talented and reliable Contracted Content Creator to capture high-quality photography and videography of events across both venues, and in various locations. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a passion for the arts and a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will support the marketing and communications team by creating dynamic, engaging visual content that showcases the breadth of our programming and enhances audience engagement. With over 160,000 visitors to their arts centres per year, content creation will play an important role in promoting their programme of events.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and document events at Solstice Arts Centre and Swift Cultural Centre (and other locations depending on specific events), including performances, exhibitions, workshops, talks, and community activities.
- Capture high-quality still and video content that reflects the atmosphere, diversity, and creativity of each event.
- Edit and deliver professional photo and video assets within agreed timelines for use across digital, social media, press, and promotional channels. Content needs to be edited and sent to the marketing team within 48 hours of the event
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and promotional goals.
- Maintain consistent communication regarding scheduling, content delivery, and asset archiving.
- Ensure all required permissions, including consent release forms are managed appropriately
- Solstice Arts Centre and Swift Cultural Centre reserve the right of ownership of all content recorded.
Requirements
- Proven experience in photography and videography, ideally in live event or cultural settings.
- Proficiency in editing software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing event coverage, storytelling, and post-production skills.
- Availability for flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Own transport and equipment (camera, lighting, microphones, etc.).
- Excellent time management and ability to deliver content to deadlines.
- Knowledge of GDPR and best practices in image rights and permissions.
Desirable
- Experience working with arts organisations or cultural institutions.
- Interest in the performing and visual arts.
- Social media or digital content experience a plus.
