SURVEYOR 2023

Solstice Arts Centre invites artists living in or from County Meath to submit works of all disciplines for inclusion in our twelfth SURVEYOR open exhibition. SURVEYOR serves to support, value and encourage Meath artists in the development of their practices and creative careers. The exhibition will present an overview of contemporary visual arts practice throughout the county.

This year's artworks will be selected by Mary Conlon and see the continuation of the Solstice Visual Arts Award, to the value of €2,000. This will be awarded to a work of distinction in any medium.

Call out for submissions

Online submission deadline: Fri 10 November, 5pm
Drop off date to Solstice for adjudication of artwork: Sat 18 Nov, between 11am – 4pm
Collection of unselected artworks: Sat 25 Nov, between 11am – 4pm

Mary Conlon

Mary Conlon is the new Director of The Dock, County Leitrim’s flagship arts centre in Carrick-on-Shannon. Prior to this role, she was the Artistic Director of Ormston House in Limerick city (2011-2023). She was the inaugural International Curator-in-Residence at the Aarhus Billedkunstcenter in Denmark, and the Artistic Director of the Creative Europe project, Memory of Water, in six international cities. She served three terms on the Board of Directors of EVA International, Ireland’s Biennial of Contemporary Art, and is an elected member of the Executive Committee of Trans Europe Halles since 2021.
