In 1972, Rose Dugdale, a British aristocrat who had renounced her family wealth and privilege and become an IRA volunteer, led a violent armed raid on Russborough House, Wicklow in which nineteen masterpiece paintings were stolen. Baltimore is based on the real events surrounding the raid, and the days following when Rose is in hiding in a remote cottage.

Joe Lawlor and Christine Molloy (The Future Tense, Rose Plays Julie) brilliantly agile and taut storytelling, deftly crisscrossing timelines, resulting in a fascinating psychological study of Rose’s upbringing and her radicalisation within the political turmoil of the 1970s. Imogen Poots delivers a magnetic and intense portrayal of Rose, skillfully capturing both her vulnerability and the fervour of her political convictions.
