In this three day workshop, we’ll be looking at embodied practice in conversation with music, words, and rhythms. Founded on Indian dance techniques, we’ll be looking at levels of slowness, taking time to express ourselves freely, and creating a space for physical movement that is built on understanding one’s own body. The first day will be an introduction to technique, patterns, spatial awareness, and gentle body conditioning through play, while the next two sessions will focus on short thematic work, making choreography, and group activity that can develop one's movement vocabulary while strengthening overall fitness and prioritising the joy of engaging with dance.
