From director Steve McQueen (Hunger, 12 Years A Slave), Blitz follows the epic journey of George (Elliott Heffernan), a 9-year-old boy in World War II London who is sent to the safety of the English countryside by his mother Rita (Saoirse Ronan). Defiant and determined to return home to his mum and grandfather Gerald (Paul Weller) in East London, George embarks on a perilous adventure, while a distraught Rita searches for her missing son.
