Oisin Leech + Special Guests
As an accomplished songwriter, as one half of the musical duo The Lost Brothers, and presenter of the cult favourite Caravan Radio on RTE Radio 1, Navan’s very own Oisin Leech has performed across the globe, from Glastonbury to the Fillmore in San Francisco and beyond. This year saw the release of his debut solo album "Cold Sea", which has garnered widespread international critical acclaim and is being heralded by the likes of The Irish Times, Other Voices, MOJO and Uncut as one of the finest releases of 2024.
His album features many luminaries including Dónal Lunny, Tony Garnier (Bob Dylan’s current and long-time touring band member), M Ward, Róisín McGrory, and was produced by Brooklyn musician Steve Gunn.
Oisin is no stranger to the Solstice Arts Centre having in previous years sold-out his famous winter gigs each year with The Lost Brothers. This new event is not to be missed with what is to be an immersive performance of stunning new material with very special guests expected to join Oisin onstage on the night.
Since his album's release it has seen over a million streams worldwide and has seen Leech appear on the Cerys Matthews BBC 6 Music show from Maida Vale in London. The album entered Top 20 Official Folk Album Charts in the UK and he recently performed on the renowned Other Voices TV show.
With Oisin’s Dublin, London, Belfast, Cork, and Paris gigs all selling-out in advance, early booking is advised for this unique Solstice night of music. Expect a night of stunning song craft and a warm enveloping atmosphere. This show will mark Oisin’s first solo performance in his home town of Navan Co. Meath. Not to be missed.
Stellar Meath duo Perlee - Saramai Leech and Cormac O’Keefe - will be amongst the very special guests on this show. Also added to the billing on this special concert is stunning renowned Donegal fiddle player Róisín McGrory, who plays the strings on Oisin’s album Cold Sea. Róisín will join Oisin onstage for his show.
