This is a school workshop.
Guided by local exhibiting artist Leslie-Ann O’Connell, pupils will experiment with spontaneity and reconstruction to create multi-layered, colourful and dynamic imagery. Following a tour of the gallery, Leslie-Ann will share her art making techniques, exploring the expressive possibilities of mark making, watercolour, collage and framing.
Playing with abstraction, pupils will experience and engage through critical thinking and decision making that is intuitive and fluid, connecting to self-expression, drawing, 2D construction, paint and colour while creating a work of art.
For secondary schools, this workshop links to the Visual Studies Content Area 3 - Today’s World.
